Why I want to meet milkbox is happy!

Milkbox seems like a charming, warm conversationalist with whom it would be possible to talk for hours. Plus, if I met her, I’d know where “Hiding” is. :-)

“Toto, Toto, is that you?” Dorthy looked at the small furry creature before her with pleading in her eyes. “Pish you silly wench, Toto ran off with some saucy little poodle 2 hours ago… but I can fill in for when he returns.”
the terrierhead sat primly in the grass and peered at Dorthy with an intellectual and amusing glint in her eyes.
“But, but Toto is the best friend I have!” wailed a thoroughly distraught (and if I might add stupid) Dorthy.
“Actually I think I have a lot more going for me than that half-wit dog of yours. For starters I can talk instead of just barking madly; so if the witch comes I can effectively warn you and taunt her a second time. I can also spin a rather fine tale when the mood strikes and regale you with a plethora of witty sayings and jokes as well.” the terrierhead sat for a small moment and then added, “Oh, and I can dance. I also have a Mr. Terrierhead and I am quite fond of him so I won’t be running off after every fancy pants that catches my eye. I may swoon a little but a girl has to have some fun I think.”
Dorthy looked a little shocked but seemed to ponder all the little creature had said, “Do you read?”
the terrierhead sniffed as if insulted, “As if you have to ask .”

The real reason I want to meet A Well-Read Dog Head

Because she or he wants to work toward universal health coverage.

I have had it with this two party system, and would like to explore options to shaking up the system.

How I met A Well-Read Dog Head

The process actually began on 43T! No jokes about it. I had been reading through Des’s entry about cyberstalking almost a week before the wedding of one of my best friends from college was to occur. I knew my friend worked for an office located in Johnson County, and noticed that Terrierhead was in that area, too. So, I made a reply that I’d be thinking of her while in her area. You can see the thread here: http://www.43things.com/comments/thread/72199

Well, It’s kind of crazy, but somehow (the details are now a little fuzzy) we started asking more detailed questions of each other about her co-worker’s wedding and my friend’s wedding. Well, I e-mailed Terrierhead my friend’s name and it turned out that the weddings were one wedding!

So, we had decided that we would meet up at some point while I was there, and there was an opportunity the afternoon before the wedding on that Saturday. The bride and some of her attendants had manicure appointments at a salon inside a local mall, so I met up with Terrierhead there.

The reason that I tagged Terrierhead as “generous” is that while we were together, she took me to a sushi place and treated me to all kinds of sushi. I already liked sushi, so it wasn’t a scary thing for me. Well, she assured me that it was safe to order the raw kind of sushi, so I tried it. I liked it, too. Let me say unagi (eel) is awesome! Terrierhead likes it, too! She also instructed me on the proper way to eat sushi, which made the experience even more enjoyable!

She was a perfect hostess while I was in her care in her city, so I am really able to say that it was a total pleasure to have met her…If I get back to KC, I hope to have a repeat visit and maybe next time I can return the favor! :)
